SDHC cards have SD Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum sustained write speed for SDHC cards:

* Class 2: 2MB/s
* Class 4: 4MB/s
* Class 6: 6MB/s

Wow, glad I only have 2 gb cards. I didn't know what the CF 1/2 compatible meant for my card reader/writer.

It means Compact Flash type I or type II (microdrive).

CF 1 is a normal card and CF 2 is a miniature hard drive.

CF 1 is a normal card and CF 2 is a miniature hard drive.Most CF Type 2 cards are microdrive hard drives, but there are some (older) flash CF type II cards as well as Type 2 I/O cards out there. All they really mean is CF 1 is 3.3 mm thick; Type 2 is 5 mm thick.
