I'm trying to take shots of my baby daughters with my G3 and by the time the moment was there and passed and another moment has come and gone the camera finally snaps the shot. Isn't there some way to just set the focal length and shoot away without having to wait for the auto-focus to make it's slow decision? Or is there a rapid shot function?
Thanks,
Darrel

Darrel,
Next time, you'd better post this one in the other forum on the G-Series. This one here is for letting other judge your photographs.
Anyway... yes, there is a fast mode. You can do two things (combined if you want)
1) search this forum for "hyperfocal" a way to turn your G3 into a fast point-and-shoot camera. It only needs to measure exposure time before it fires.
2) Use the little button on the top of your camera to switch to "continuous" mode. Then the camera keeps on taking pictures as long as you keep the shutter button pressed.
Hope this helps
