@ the bottom of my parent's neighbours garden. Unfortunately I didn't get my camera out quick enough for the best background and lighting shot. This was the only shot I managed. That's my excuse anyway.

Went for walk this afternoon, and heard this bird singing its heart out. Technically not a great shot, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Who you kidding? Thats a great shot. Both of them are beautiful, but the wren is just great. :)

Thanks Trev, Scott appreciate you looking and positive comments.

Mitch, I was annoyed that I missed the kite against the blue sky was front lit & exposed nicely by the sun. When I took this shoot I lost that chance as it was
passing under cloud towards the sun. I was very frustrated at missing the
the first position.
I had to do more than I wanted to in PS to bring out any detail.
The wren shot was the only one of about five shots that I thought was worth
working on. Again, I thought the shot was going to be a lot better, it needed a
lot of sharpening, more than normal.
Exposure wise, would I be better off using "pattern" as opposed to "Partial" ?
I always looking at all the exceptionally good shots by you and most of the other's that post, and am always comparing, that's probably another reason for describing the shots as "not technically great".
Sorry for all the waffle, that's if you hadn't fallen asleep by now.
Thanks alot Sindri, Gary. Appreciate you looking.

I too, like the wren shot best, most are little posers with a lot of personality.

Cheers Dennis, yeah and normally they won't sit still long enough. This one made sure I snapped him/her. As you said a little poser. Thanks for looking.
