My Canon 400mm f5.6L lens has just arrived. I'm almost afraid to touch it. I guess I'll be doing some serious shooting tomorrow! There's a great park for birds near my house. In fact, there are many good nature sights here. This is oing to be a real adventure for me.

Congrats...I love mine. Wish it weren't so cold here, so that I can get better with it. Enjoy it, and post up some stuff, once you take some shots with it. It's a lovely piece of glass.

Be very afraid! On unpacking my 100-400L, it tumbled from my desk onto a carpeted concrete floor! Unbelievably, nothing was damaged but I sweatted out the first hundred images, man!
