I was wondering about some options for creating a pc slot on my digital rebel. I'm going to be using this camera for weddings and studio shots and I need some options for this. Also if there is a way to create a pc slot and still be able to use a camera mounted flash it would be great. Thanks everyone.

Is that one compatable with the digital rebel?

Probably the one above is compatible, but you have to watch out with some lighting systems that work with trigger voltages that are too high for your camera.
This one is safe: Wein Safe-Sync Hot Shoe Mounted High Voltage Sync Regulator (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=245292&is=REG) .
It's more expensive ($49.95) than the one above ($9.50) but you will not be happy if you fry your camera.... :?

I'm going to be using Alien Bees, hopefully this setup will work. Anyone here using a Digital Rebel with one of these attachments?

Yes, I have used this configuration.
DEFINITELY buy the Wein Safe-Sync. Do not even think about connecting anything other than a Canon flash to your Canon camera without it.
Other brands of camera have a voltage limiter built-in, allowing them to be used with any sort of flash (some flashes have trigger voltages in the 100's of volts).
Canon cameras do _not_ have a voltage limiter. They assume the trigger voltage is 6 volts. Higher voltages can damage your camera.
The Safe-sync limits the voltage to 6 volts, protecting your camera no matter what you connect to it.
