What about a EF 24-105 f/4 ISL (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142974) with a reverse ring ?
Is it gonna work ?
Im trying to find a way to not buy the 100 mm and have something equal or better then that lense.
What can i do like macro with a EF 24-105 f/4 ISL (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142974) ? If it possible...
i was thinking to do that with :
General Brand 58mm Macro Coupler - For Mounting Two Lenses of 58mm Face to Face

might give you some ideas.
But whatever you do It will either not be optically as good or as easy to use as a real macro lens although you may be able to get higher magnifications than 1:1.

St-Craft,
You will not equal or better then a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens with a zoom lens (not stupid idea, more like unrealistic dream). You might want to try extension tubes or a 500D filter but it will not equal or be better then the macro prime.
The 100mm f/2.8 will be sharper and let more light in then your L zoom even in normal conditions like portraits etc... and its alot cheaper then the L zoom. :)

What the difference between Extender and Extension tube ?
i heard i couldn't fit the 2x II Extender EF - Autofocus
So i might be able to put Kenko kit extension tube to get higher magnification right ?
But if i do that, i have less light comming in the lense right ?

St-Craft,
A Canon extender is a teleconverter, click here for more info on teleconverters (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41922)
An extension tube has no glass and moves the lens further away from the camera, click here for more info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extension_tube)
You loose some light with both.
