the 1D site states there are 11 veiwfinders available...does anyone have any experience with the others and if so...what is best?

I got a Beattie bright screen with a split screen. Wow what a differcnce. Focus problems at large apatures went away.

Does this screen disable the evaluative metering? Doesn't the Canon split screen disable certain metering modes? And have you compared this Beattie to the Canon?

Have not noticed any metering problems or differences. I use a hand held meter most of the time or a gray card. I have only compared it to the screen that is standard. Dont care to see what Canon has to offer right now unless you have more news for me to hear.
