In the early days, my old and trusty film based SLR provided something called a metering wedge in the viewfinder. When you looked through the viewfinder, you'ld see something like this:

It helps with manual focusing and is particularly usefull in low-light conditions.

I've found a couple of viewing accessories for the 1D and 1Ds, but do they exist for the 10D and/or (oops... analogue!) EOS30/ELAN7 too?

In addition, I'm looking for a grid pattern accessory for the same camera's. I know that Nikon for example even has an on-demand grid pattern - now there's something I would like to see added to my 10D too 8)

I'd be willing to bet thats why it isnt around anymore. When i went from my AE-1 to my Rebel 2000 this was the first thing i noticed, then i realized why the view in my viewfinder had changed.

One of the few problems with the 10D is the lack of changeable focusing screens. I agree. It would be nice to have one like I have in my slr's.

Scott
