Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical
Thinking of buying this lens, fairly inexpensive.
Anyone got any samples or comments?

Hopefully we can add this to the -=Lens Sample Images Archive=- (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=141406)

I have the Tamron version of this lens....It is my daily "walk around" glass on my 20D...It is capable of excellent results from macro to 300mm...If you ne4ed "tack sharp" on every shot, you probably need a few prime lenses, but if you need a 3" 1/2 lb all around lens that'll cover almost every shooting situation, get one!!!:):):)

I used to have this lens, but I sold it because its very heavy as a walk around lens, and I found that I was using the 300 end of it very rarely so I bought a sigma 17-70 which takes much better pics at the wide angle, at 300 it was a bit soft

New Member, I am very new to photography but this was one of the first lenses I bought along with my nifty fifty.

Here are a few pictures I took with it. Keep in mind I am still learning. :)
