No, unless you suspect that your camera might be the culprit of misfocus.

Unless you want your camera cleaned or calibrated or whatever, they only want the lens. I just got a lens back from them. It will take about 5 to 7 business days. Pack it nicely back into the box if you have it, enclose a short letter to them with you address and phone number and the reason that you are sending in the lens.

The optimum result would be to send both. If you merely send one, they adjust it simply to 'meet spec' within tolerances. If you sent both, if the camera was a little bit 'out' yet still within spec, they could optimize the performance of the pair together.
I once had to send in a medium format film back, and they wanted both the body and the back so they could make sure they adjusted the back to work with the body!
But as joayne indicates, they might simply consider it a nuisance to send both, unless they ASK you to send both!

thanks guys!! I still have the 30d under warranty, but just gonna send the lens, because I will have some weddings//// and as i have said before the lens is just "ok" comparing it with my 17-85 which i consider unfair for a "L" lens.....no big trouble but hope they calibrate it well so i can really say "NOW I WANT MORE L's !!!! "...

I took a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS to the Irvine center (just the lens, didn't take my camera since I've never had any issues with other lenses except one). They calibrated it and the lens was ready to be picked up the next day... I thought such benefits were reserved for CPS members. Maybe it means they aren't all that busy, which would be a good indicator.

No, under warranty, all consumers are serviced at no extra charge.
And I don't think the U.S. has CPS.
