Today I went to a "store closing" sale and they had 2 WL ultra 1800 lights, stands, softboxes (large and xl) used for $800. Do you think thats a good deal? They said they were about 5 years old. Just replaced the flashtubes.

White lightings are great. I have pro friends that have had them for years. Still work great. I'm not even sure you would need to replace the flash tubes.

BTW, my friends have the 600 which is 2 generations older than the ultras.
1800 wow! that's powerful. Maybe do due diligence to see the current price of this stuff.

This White Lightning 1800 flash head is about 700 "true" Watt -seconds, which is pretty powerful for a mono head flash unit.

If everything is in very good shape this is a good deal, not a fantastic deal, but a good deal.
