Hi, I have two b800 lights and a abr and a ringflash and gels or color filters, anyway, I am using white seamless paper for the backdrop. I have my two lights set up behind my subject to the sides of my subject with me directly in front with the abr and the moon unit and my colors are not showing up on the backdrop when I take the picture. I had one turn out and it was a pink gel any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Try more distance from the backdrop so the ringlight doesn't overpower the back lights.

Your colors will be MORE SATURATED from those gels if you do NOT use a white background, but a dark gray or black one!

And keep the backdrop farther back from the subject and use flags to keep light from spilling from main and fill onto the backdrop.

And you have to meter the background to ensure that it is the appropriate brightness to register in the photo. You have TWO exposures to deal with...one for the subject, the other for the background!

Hi Wilt, when you say use flags, What exactly is that? I am still new to this.
And Thanks to everyone that replied.

black cloth on frames to absorb the light, keeps light from going places you don't want
