I know there's a zillion similar posts and I've read a lot but am needing some more specific advice from the great people here on POTN. I've been looking into buying some studio equipment for a while but keep pulling out. Now that the bonus is due I'm going for it!!!
I have a garage space that is very tight 8.5' x 16' but I could use my lounge which is 11.5' x 16'. Not huge but I plan to be mobile rather than have a studio set up at home. I'll obviously be practicing at hoime lots!
I'm pretty comfortable with my camera (have shot a few weddings, portraits and some commercial stuff).
Now I'd probably go for the ABs if I lived in the states but here in the UK lights are pretty expensive and ABs are to expensive to import. I'd prefer three lights but not sure whether 2 is enough.
Choices
Lights
I'me almost set on the D_lites however do I go for 2 x Dlite4s (400Ws) or 3 x Dlite 2s (200Ws). I plan to do both high and low key lighting.
Background
How is this interfit system in comparison to a muslin/vinyl/paper + backdrop holder setup? The ones I'm looking at are black &/or white.

I believe this is 2.5m x 5m in length. The stand will also be needed for stability.
Accessories
Thinking of a barn door, & the reflector + grid set. Also thinking about a larger softbox or possibly a 4' Octobox but I don't have a great deal of height to work with. Also thinking of an interfit panel reflector (Gold/Silver) that is 35" wide x 70" in length with stand.
A radio trigger (possibly ebay) will be required. If not ebay, where else would you recommend? The lights will not be used every day but I do want something that will last a while. If I get a third light I'll also need a stand for it.
Do I need more or is this overkill for a starter?
Any tips on my thoughts so far would be great.
Many thanks
Jim
