The first is an old Victorian garden that has been neglected for many years - the falls were man made.

The second is very much "shape and form" which I found on the edge of a woodland.

The third is of an old bridge over a stream - the pup had to be in on this one too!

Does the sepia treatment work? I was afraid that it might be a little too dark?
Your comments please.

These are really nice, the sepia works really well, and I think the darkness kind of adds to the effect. That last one's a real winner.
The only critique I can offer is that the first one looks like it needs a little sharpening, but I really like its composition.

The feel of the shots is great, perfect sepia. But I agree with shniks that the first two do not look completely focused, that could just be the file compression also. Nice shots.

Thanks for your positive comments,
I've checked the focus on the first two and it seems ok so possibly a compression problem as was suggested - I think its also compounded with the fact that the tree pic is covered in small fungi which at the size submitted gives very little detail.

On the stream one I think its the slow shutter speed and the ivy covered bank that confuse the eye as the few sticks/branches at the edge of the first fall are in focus.

I wish I could contribute a constructive comment, but all of these shots look really great. You did a wonderful job, BTW, with the pup. If the shot was too "cute", the sepia would not have worked. But as you took it, it's perfect. Great shot for a portfolio. :)

I was taking a shot of the bridge but as is always the case one of the dogs has to get into the shot!!!! The pup is nervous of bridges and when I jumped up I was a little suprised so clicked at that moment.
