View Full Version : PhotoShop Effects vs. PaintShop Pro Photo XI

Hi gang. I have some Dell Dollars to get rid of and I've narrowed my choices down to two photo editing software packages: Adobe Photoshop Effects 5.0 and Corel PaintShop Pro Photo XI. Both are the same price, and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations or experience with either?

I have Photoshop at work, so all I'm really looking for is a program that can do basic adjustments to an image: color corrections, sharpening, contrast, that sort of thing. I'd also like it to be easy to use.

Any feedback will be appreciated!

I have PSPX and it does all that I ask of it, including those things you listed. You can get a 30 day free trial if you go to their website: LINKY (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Content/1152796555406)
That being said, I have no experience with Photoshop with which to compare. I made my decision based on the thirty day trial and several reviews that maintained PSPX was more user friendly.
Good luck!
