Could someone tell me If I was to use a 550ex flash off camera on a Stroboframe bracket, would it remain dedecated if I connected It using the "Canon Off camera shoe cord 2" It will be linked to a Canon D10 ?
My main concern was that the cord was originally used with an EOS 5 that was TT-L and the D10 uses E-TTL.

You will need the 'off camera cord 2' for use with the 10D.
The original doesn't worl properly :(

Yes you do need the off camera shoe cord 2 BUT if you put
in on a flash bracket make sure you get one of these to put
between the cord and the bracket (it screwes into the cord end)
BECAUSE the weight of the 550 will eventually break the cheap
PLASTIC connector on the cord..... (funny because the cord is
NOT CHEAP ) . . .

So the 550 goes into the cord, the cord screws onto above adapter,
the adapter (metal) goes onto the stroboframe (or any bracket) which
is metal (metal on metal, instead of plastic on metal)...
