Lenses for the G3. Decisions Decisions Decisions!!

Hi.

I am looking at getting a new telephoto Lense for my g3. I have never bought a lense before so excuse any dumb question.

I have alrealy read several posts and I think i will be tossing up between the TCON-17 or the TC DC58. Unlease someone out there has a better idea.
Is anyone better then the other. Should there be certian things I should be looking for in a lense

Is it possible to get a lens with better magnification then the likes of these.

I saw one on ebay(see image below) that said it was 2x are these any good.

I use and like the Tiffen 2X Megaplus with my G3. One thing to consider is whether or not you will use filters. Some do not have front threads. The Tiffen does. As for the digital optics lenses, I've never heard of them. maybe someone else can help you there.

My friend bought that package of the wide angle/macro and telelphoto, I wasn't really fond of the telephoto. It didn't seem to do too much almost like a tease. Those little lenses aren't that bad but as everyone seems to say and also know "you get what you pay for" especially with the quality or lack there of in the glass. If you have the money and REALLY want a telephoto get the Crystalvue 8X. You'll enjoy it much more. :D

The Crystalvue looks good but also a little bulky. I guess I will have to stick to the lower zoom.

Has anyone had any experience with the nikon leses on a G3 before. can it be done.

There are so many choices it is really hard the pick with lense will be the best.

There are tons of discussions on g3 telephoto lenses on this forum - try a search and there are plenty of peoples opinions
