I was a Senior in college at Ohio State (Columbus, Ohio) in 1986 and remember this well.....My mother being from East Germany and having the opportunity to go to East Germany several times as a young boy, I have found memories of how simple the life was in East Germany and as I am sure was in USSR....like waiting for an hour to buy two very ripe bananas....

The last pictures and stories of your work had me thinking back to those times and the tragedy. Now a parent of 3 children (8,5,2 y/o) your pictures of the children were very very moving.

Please continue to share more stories and pictures as you see appropriate....some of the best reading I have done in a long time.
