Question, there is a resident red tailed hawk in my area.
I did a little google search and from what I can see it's Buteo jamaicanesis, is that the same species in your neck of the woods?

Your hawk looks quite a bit larger :).

Same exact species here. There is a wide plumage difference in the US alone.

The full Wimberley head makes flight shots really easy on the big lenses but this was done with a car mount ballhead.
