Excellent performance by Christy Jefferson. Christy carries a strong stage presence and the songs are original and captivating... She also gains immediate full house participation with her original music sing along.:D

Very pretty, John, and do I detect a touch of fancy post processing? :-)

i like the 3 best, very good image, crop and pose. #1 looks like too much noise reduction to me.

I agree with narlus, I like #3 and the NR does seem a bit noticable on some of them. Looks like you were right at her feet. Nice job.

Yeah, you pegged me right... The original wasn't far from it though... I'll attach it here in this posting... The shutter speed was way off the charts and minimal highlights got picked up...

You said it Narlus,
Mutually agreed... Three it is... Before posting here, I sent # 3 around to the venue and radio station, as the show photo...

You're right, Basil... I was kinda right at her feet... in the front row of the pit... Got together with some regulars and we staked our turf out and stood our ground, for a good time...
I tried to reduce the dark shadow around the neck area with Noise Ninja...
Here is the original, simply trimmed and posted...

I really like #3 and 4.
Too much NR on #1 and 2, maybe 3.
Crop #4 a bit tighter?
What happened in #2?

This is also very good feedback and very observant of you Rene'...
I'll try to trim pic # 4 and post it a bit later...
RE #2.
This was the immediate result of rapid fire...
Not knowing how many songs Christy would sing I needed to start taking pictures right away... The spot lights started the moment she started singing...and I found that she started singing right up close to the microphone... and I couldn't get a clear picture of both of her eyes, or an entire nose or even see her mouth...
I was set to shoot the first shots in 3 frames per second AEB 1/3... almost wide open at f 1.8... So the first two seconds of shooting resulted in pic #1 and pic #2...There after I adjusted my aperture to 3.2 and even 4.0, with the shutter speeds down to a more comfortable and reasonable speed. EXIF intact... These are the best of approx. 100 pics. Other pics had a lot of very heavy microphone shadow on her mouth, face, and blouse...
The rest happened in post processing...in order to get rid of the dark neck noise, I used Noise Ninja and even faded it back 40%.
However as in # 1 at 1/2000th and #2 at 1/2500, the pics are underexposed and shy of a good depth of field....
Here is PIC #2 out of Camera no processing...
