View Full Version : How does an S3 differ from a 20D in end product?

Greetings,
I have had several SLR's (film only). Have had an S1 for a few years and am getting the itch to go with the S3.
BUT, its been so long that I took pix on the SLRs that I REALLY don't recall the difference in end product.
I love the versatility of the S1 (I know its faults), but , if you would , would you tell me what I am missing in terms of final product if you compare it to the results of a dSLR camera.
I know some of you guys are hard core dSLR folks. I have traveled with the SLR and I strongly disliked the hassle factor of carrying all the "accessories" and weight that goes with it.
So, in the end, how far off are my "potentially good S1" pictures vs a good dSLR camera's results. What can the typical dSLR do that the S3 cant do ?
