I heard that it is going to be the first L zoom to cost under $200 and that it weighs under 1KG. It is also going to be the sharpest lens ever and also has no distortion at all, even at the wide end.
Send me the money now and I'll send you the lens as soon as it's available.

I am brand new to this forum and I must say you had me......lol. I am still caught in the decision making process with deciding between the 70-200 IS and the 100-400 IS and along comes yor post.... And of course there is the new 28-350 IS around the corner to be released this month I believe.

Would a 200-500 f/4 IS be too much to ask for?

A 200-500 f/4 IS for under 1200 dollars US. I'm not about to buy any $2000+ lenses.
