Let me guess, Bundy? Isn't that bleu building the one with the whale on it?
The images look good, I only see a lot of noise in the first image of the shop interior. What was the iso setting for this image?

Hi yes it's bundy. but thats not the building with the whale on it. I have not taken that photo yet. I am going up town shortly, I think I will take my Pro1 with me & capture a couple of shots of the whale wall.
That photo of the shop interior is ISO400. Most of the photos are ISO50, The grasshopper photos are ISO200

There are some very nice shots there. I'm impressed.
I'd probably avoid ISO-400 unless it is necessary, but other than the interior shop photos, they all look clean.

I just read a review on the Pro 1 in the april issue of the dutch photo magazine "Focus". They also concluded that you should avoid the high ISO values.
As reason for the noise they said the 8MP image sensor of the Pro 1 is a lot smaller as that of a 6MP SLR, therefore a 6MP SLR would make better images, specially at high ISO, than a compact.
I have been in doubt for buying a Pro 1 or a 10D, but I more and more believe that I am better of with the 10D. Megapixels is just not everything :(
Anyway, your images bring back some memories. I was in Bundy/Bargara in august last year.

Hi Martin,
I would not mind owning a 10D as well. Mainly for it's interchangeble lens & higher ISO being a lot cleaner. but the Pro1 will cover what I want to shoot 90% of the time.
I have found the quality of the prints from the Pro1 exceptional, I am more than happy with the results. I thought long & hard at the Pro1 or 10D, in the end I choose the Pro1 because of it's compactness & the ability of using the LCD panel at different angles plus the Macro abilty. For me I think I have purchased the most suitable camera for me. But I still will buy a DSLR one day.
Hope you liked it here in Bundy, Pity you was not here during the sea turtle nesting season at Mon Repos, you probably would of seen me working on the beach with the turtles.
Do you ever plan to come back to Bundy?

Besides that I have family in Bargara I have to go back to get a new supply of Bundaberg Black. Well I have been there in 1998 and in 2003, so I will probably be back before 2008 :D (I hope sooner).
Anyway I still have 2 months to decide if I will nuy a Pro 1 or a 10D. For now I think it will be a 10D.
