Right i recived my peleng from a fellow forum member the other week

had a manic time at work and ocllage so only just had chance to give it a test.

my first impression is that its built like a tank. the only dodgy bit is the lense cap but two hefty lacky bands nabbed from work soon solved that problem.

havnt used the case as it stays securly in my 1510 box how ever it feels a bit cheep but then what do you expect

its a bit of a stange lense as i can tell no diffrnece in focusing from one extreme to the other. i tend to set it about 2 on the scale and run a f8 or if i can f16

the lense it self has a real flare problem and i have to relay postion and repostion the angle to get the best shot

please not there has been no post processing on ither image this is how they came off the camera (exif attached)

I typically try not to draw attention to my short peleng. I certainly don't plan on reviewing it. .

ROFL...

Nice review, Dom. Seems like an interesting lens for sure. Have you looked at "de-fishing" software such as PTLens or Grasshopper? Might come in handy.

I think at f/8 and certainly f/16, everything from like... 2" to infinity is in focus. :D

double negative erm no i haddnet

i personaly wanted the peleng for the "fish eye effect" and with the image quality and lense flare for wide angle i would prefer to use my 20mm

are there any free trials i could have a play with
