Hi
This is my first post on this forum so I'm not familiar with terms etc so please bear with me...

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with our Canon Powershot S1 IS please? when I take a photo in auto mode or any mode it comes up on the lcd as all white and lines through it, you can hardly see the image that was taken. It also comes up on our computer like that but all the other photos that are still on the card are great, they come up normal on the lcd so it must be something that has happend in the camera not to the lcd if that makes any sence.

I have switched it to movie mode and it is perfect so there is nothing wrong with that part of the camera

Has anyone got any ideas of what is wrong with it also if so it's it worth having it fixed??

I'm very dissappointed as we paid what we consider quite a few $$ for it and it isn't even 3 yrs old yet.. We thought buying a reputable brand and spend good $$ we would at least get a few more years out of it ...

Any help would be greatly appriecated Nat

This may sound mad but have you tried another card? It may just be that. If it isn't, the camera sounds donald.

Thanks for your reply Yep I have tried another card that's not it.

I have since rung Canon and they seem to think it it a ccd driver?? something like that.

It must be a problem with them as they are fixing it for free the warranty ended 6 mths ago. So we are hopeing that's all it is
Thanks again for taking the time to reply

You might try posting your question on the "Small compacts" forum where more S1 owners might read it. This forum is mainly for G-series cameras.
