Nice captures Orn. I love the landing shot and I'm still working on getting a decent capture of a goldeneye landing.

Maybe you should carry a loaf of bread around? I've got some shots of Goldeneyes. They look like dots on the water. Never had one even remotely interested in me or come anywhere close enough for a good shot. Looks like it's time to get the digiscope out again. ;)

Great variety of birds, not easy to get close to these guys, I would love to see a Redhead someday:)

...BTW, I have it on good word that "some" people have good luck using the "white sheet" method of camo...;)

Thanks for the tip. I've found no matter how well camo'd you are you won't be able to put a sneak on a large flock of divers. My best success was pushing some birds farther into the river and sit down near where they really want to be (in this case where they can feed on a SAV) and just sit there as still as possible and they will come right back. These are still long distance shots for the most part unfortunately. 30 or so yards. The landing GE was around 15 yards.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Orn. If you use your method of going where they want to be, but add the white sheet, they come in real close, like under 20feet for the females, the males may hang back around the 30 foot range.A pair of black ducks came in next to my feet.
Their "need" to get back where they like takes about 20 min to take over :D
Heres a link to my results last week in case you missed it.
