Yes, I got something new.

The glass is double-coated, variable focus, high-index and aspheric.
They are mounted in titanium.
They are precision ground to my own specs.
They cost almost as much as "L" glass.

Are you ready?

They are

Tom,
Gonna phone your doc and have him check my eyes...and make me a pair of those "L" glasses. I guess the over the counter Kinny Drugs ones ain't doing the job

My brother-in-law is an optometrist, and he has me all decked out in really sexy trifocles. He tried to talk me into some Nikon sunglasses, but I become physically ill at the mere mention of them. He switched me to some lovely Sophia Loren frames that emphasize my high cheekbones.

Do the Sophia Loren frames match your lens leash? ;)

Its the aspheric lenses - without them, these glasses would be useless. (actually, that is true - they wouldn't be corrective without the aspheric shape).

I'm certain that he'd be happy to come up and visit - I do have to warn you though that he gets some sort of sadistic pleasure out of shining incredibly bright lights into your eyes.

But Tom, did you trade your DSLR gear for a Rolleiflex setup? I haven't seen much TLR* chatter on this board before now.

Considering the "four-eyes" nickname I acquired years ago, perhaps QLR* might be more correct. :D

*Quad-lens reflex
