I havn't posted anything in a while but here is a gig I shot about a while back. I edited the photos with Lightroom. I must say it is a pleasure to use.

Well let me know what you all think good or bad I'd love to hear it!

#1 yes that is flash I used! with my sigma 12-24mm 4.5-5.6

#2 & #3 are the ones that I like most. The lack of flash, the colors of 2 are very well done, understated, but not too dark. #3 is composed uniquely and it just caught my eye.

Thanks, those are my favorite too. I always enjoy harsh light transitions. Looking back #5 is quite soft. What do you guys think of my flash work in #1? It was the only way I was going to get anything usable... I like it so I guess it doesn't really matter if you do too. lol!

Personally, I don't use flash when I shoot live shows, but if you like it, then sweet! It looks like the flash caused the singing dude to be a little overexposed, at least in comparison to the other people.

Nick_b, take a few minutes and add a gear list to your signature... It's a good thing that your EXIF is intact in these photos... I find 2 through 5 are much warmer and eye pleasing
6 is pretty good too...

The flash in one created a lot more contrast and a pale, flat look, right in the middle of the picture...the background and side performers are more eye pleasing that the guy in the middle...It looks like the flash blew out the highlights... I'll look at it tomorrow...maybe it will look better, but probably not for me...
