I'm thinking of getting a cooler pair of sunglasses to replace my RayBan Wayfarer. Which one should I get?

Which one has the least barrel distortion, vignetting, moire and flare  ? Joking about the second question...

I have Oakley Romeo II's and they are excellent sunglasses, but Im not sure if you are into that type of style. But I would suggest that everyone try the oakley Polarized glasses, they are amazing, when I started wearing them everything looked better, the colors more vibrant, and everything looked more defined.

anyway, Oakley is my favorite brand so I have a huge bias.

Oakley is awesome. I've got many of them, and they're just a lot better than the others, it seems. I, too, have the Romeos, splice, thump2, half jacket, and polarized titanium. Just fantastic product.

I've had some of them for years, and not a scratch on any of them. Sulfur dioxide coated polycarbonate lenses. Very scratch resistant.

I have a pair of Oakleys.... I bought them right after I got a job in high school.... I still dont know what I was thinking.
I am a big fan of Arnette. I also have some Julbos for hiking on Mt Rainier or anywhere else I am on snow or ice. The Julbo's are the most comfortable, and protect the best. But I wouldn't wear then off the mountain.

I don't own either currently, but I have had Ray-bans before.
Right now I am using some Bolle's Aviator style sunglasses, polarized. It is amazing to see the world as if you had a CPL on each eye.
Good luck with your glasses.

I second the bolle's. I have ones with polarized midas lens. I think they are some of the best if you do a price/performance comparison of different brands.

I had some RayBan aviator style sunnies, bought when I was actually taking flying lessons( that's a far far more expensive passtime than photography BTW!)

At the time they looked mega cool, but now they are SO dated - kinda like watching Miami vice re-runs....

But they are still in great shape, unscratched and perfect condition. L-like build quality always tells. I just have to wait for them to come into fashion again!

I now have a prescription set of DKNY that match my reading glasses.

Mine came in a Carl's Jr kid's meal, they're black in front with flo-green sides. They're pretty sweet actually.

I wear oakley half jackets, you can switch out the lenses for polarized ones or just plain clear ones if you need shooting glasses, pretty handy.
