Here's a picture of my nephew jumping up and down on his bed. The camera used is a SD600.

There are "circles" on the right side of the picture. What are they and why do they appear? Is this normal? This isn't the first image that I've taken that they've shown up. Any information is appreciated.

Dust particles illuminated by the flash and causing a reflection. Jumping on the bed probably stirred up enough to cause the problem.

Good reply pescare, I would never figured that out.

If I see it, now I will know.

Thanks.

I can't really take credit for figuring it out because I just Googled it up when I was having the problem with my last camera, a Minolta S304. Excellent camera for its day, but it did suffer from this same problem at times. Since I've acquired the S2 IS, I've not seen the orbs and have since learned it's likely because the flash is located further away from the lens on the camera body.

Thank you, pescare.
