Cool! Now forgive my ignorance as Im in the uk so dont see many american cars, but wasn't a Trans Am the name given to the KITT car in Knight Rider? I dont remember it being a Pontiac tho, or is Trans Am a commnly used tag like GT?

Well, the Ford Cortina was produced in the early 70s and was a saloon (Sedan), replaced by the Mondeo in the 90s. The Mk II and III. were known as the Ford Mercury in the US.

I see all of you drive really small and compact cars (most of you) .. How do you wedding and fashion photographers travel with much equipment and assistants in those vehicles?

I have a Hyundai Veracruz and normally the trunk is fully loaded and I travel with 3-4 assistants depending the job..

The GTV is nice, but a bit small and wierd luggage department. I have GTV's cousin, a Fiat Coupe, I can even fit a tripod AND a monopod ;)

I'm going to be refurbing the engine compartment soon.. can't wait to take some photos with the 50mm. Very nice looking engine bay, stay tuned. I'm hoping to spray the engine covers in Ferrari red with the ribbing in just silver.

I also had an Alfa 156 2L which I posted in here a while back. I just found this thread when I looked in my control panel to edit my signature.. good thing it's still current. My gear usually rides in the passenger footwell when I go places. The luggage compartment, I have put a subwoofer in and removed the spare, lol.

this is my daily driver. Especially now that i just rebuilt the engine. Got a few things to take care of still but overall, I'm not complaining. I also have a cage for more dedicated task. And yes I take my camera with me on this no problem. I use a retrospective 20 for most duties. Allows me to shoot from the hip. Next up, 63 Falcon Futura. Just not any time soon.

Dude, it is a beast. It's a sleeper too as the V8 has a mountain of torque - 85% of which is available @ 1800rpm.

Depends on how I drive and the terrain. I get around 15 doing 85ish on the highway commuting from NJ to PA.

Flat ground doing 70 I get around 19. Those numbers are with the up-sized far heavier BFG's.

Stock tires on the same terrain I got around 18 and up to 22, respectively.

The V8 is a far better power plant than the V6 in every single way other than gas mileage which is negligible at best. I know the in's and out's of these trucks as well as Land Cruisers. Any questions - feel free to ask.

Thanks and yes sort of... It's actually a Bel Air from the start but many parts of the body have been changed. In terms of chrome trim etc. it's more like the 210 model. The rear axle is tubbed, brakes-front disk/rear drum, relocated leaf springs, engine 502cui (8,3 lit), trans built TH400.

Thanks, yeah the IS350 replaced an Evo 9 MR. Kinda miss it sometimes. :( For 25k you can get an IS350. The 06 models range from 20-25k actually. :)

good to know! all i want to do is slamm it and add an exhaust :D you might think im weird but i dont want to get a car used with over 50k miles on it. i got the eclipse 4 years ago and put over 60k on it. then again it was my cummuter college car. and i graduate this december. so hopefully my miles will drastically change oh i also want manual. im to young for automatic :p

i currently drive a 4g eclipse

ive been looking at used evo x, c300, e46, s2000 (although im to tall for one to be comfortable 6'5"), a4, r32, or a new mk6 gti, and now a is350 if they have one in rwd/awd and manual.

i havent decided yet, dont get me wrong i like the way it looks but at the same time when over here in the states the KIAs and new honda accords all want to look like audi a4 and bmw 328i or vw jetti. i dont like that, its un original when you think one car looks like another brand of car. but i like that citroen, just not the rims and i hope its cheaper than a golf/gti...i really love that part of the body that goes up behind the door window, nice little touch!
