Nice list of mods you have there. I don't mind the Prelude at all. One day I might post my car up here - when I have something good enough :o lol.

Thanks! I love my Prelude and despite having opportunities to replace her with several other 'true' sports cars (M3, S2000, etc), I keep coming back to her. She's fun to drive, hauls everything for my event photography gig (without a trailer!), get's good gas mileage, and runs like a top (knocks on wood).

Never much cared for Lexus, to be honest. I find them far more bland and "honda like" (in appearance) than my cadillac. I'm sure they're very nice, though. God knows it probably cost more than my Caddy. Now..my uncle just got a new bmw 760i (?) 7xx anyway. Now that's a fine looking car. Too rich for my blood, though. Anything over $45-50k is, though.

Nope..Italian American. It's the in-between. ;-) I do just fine with my Caddy. I've ridden in both a lamborghini and a maserati, and while they were fast as hell, and the style was second to none, the ride was just unbearably uncomfortable. Gotta love that air-ride suspension. 8)

I don't know how long you keep your cars, but I had the first one in the link for 6 years, and don't recall having a single problem with it, and it was up to 125k miles. I just generally don't like to keep cars too long after that..too much value lost and I just don't like that many miles.

Here's my project car.
Here's with my latest suspension set up.
http://www.ffdet.com/members/scott/tal.jpg
Test fitting another set of rims (14lbs each), engine is currently out of the car as well.
http://www.ffdet.com/members/scott/shoes.jpg

In the attached picture I'm red lighting due to clutch engagement issues I had that day (it was only a test and tune). The engine is currently being built to handle 800+ whp (I've been waiting over 10 weeks for the rods now). Once it's running again, it'll be turbo limited to about 350 whp. After break in, I'll start looking into 600 hp range turbo's (I'll need to worry about a cage at this time as well). I'm building this to be a street car that does good at any track event. When it was running high 12's in the 1/4, I was already doing better than Z06's on the road course (with the previous suspension). It'll be interesting to see how it does once the engine is done and back in it. There's still a few things I want to do suspension wise as well. I'll probably upgrade teh breaks again too,...

As for the import / domestic debate, if it makes you happy go with it. I'm still debating what I want for my next car, but have a few cars in mind. I'm more tempted to stay domestic just because I don't want to go through the crap of waiting for parts again.

Haha, I just have 2 more weekends here. I enjoyed driving the E-class even though I don't care for the styling. The Toureg is nice too, even though it gets noisey right after 120 mph. I'm driving a Golf most of the time. It's a decent car, but I miss American horsepower levels. I'm trying to get a coworker to give me a ride in his M3 (273 km/hr top speed), but I doubt that happens as I'm taking a lot of vacation time now. German cars are nice, but I think they still have their competition.

P.S.
Hogster, I have you covered in both hp and torque...:mrgreen::mrgreen:

I would buy HP but hitting that kind of torque with a 4-cyl would be quite an achievement not that it can't be done .....got a dyno chart?

Thanks Mike, my Ford Escort begs not to be photographed, and I was just about to post a photo like that. It's my way of coping with not having a Porsche (why do people still say porscheeeaaa?) or a motorcycle.
Nice tires though, please let me know if you got your track for sale, I have been looking for a convertible for a while now. :)
Cheers,

Ok, having spent a good hour going through every page on this thread, I now feel compelled to show my car.

A Vauxhall Vectra.....................Diesel!! So shoot me!

It's a perk car, so costs me nothing, and I will be changing it soon to the Audi, although the Mondeo 3.0 ST220 is calling me!

So, sorry to spoil the thread, but here it is, a Vauxhall Vectra Diesel!

No, I still own it and drive it every day. That's a pretty popular e30 color combination.

Hands down the best little sports car I've ever driven. Its the only car that you actually WANT to drive. 9k RPM redline, feels and weights like a go-kart, close ratio shifter that feels like butter. Its 7 years old now and STILL wins best sports car in the major magazine contests. When you get one, you'll know why :)

Thats also what bugs me about it...you want to drive it therefore you'll catch yourself putting the top down at night and going on a random drive when you should be doing some work :D
