Just my little Golfie VR6, not one bit sporty, it does go well in a straight line but show it a corner and it's like a dollop of jelly :lol: but then again it was never meant to be sporty, more like a Autobahn mile muncher :)

anyone know what this is? it looks beautiful, its like they took the already beautiful supra and made it better. the rear resembles supra's shape as well.

It is a Mitsubishi FTO. It is more or less some markets version of our eclipse (and also Eagle Talon) it was FWD coupe offered in 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines. Is was the lesser brother of the famed GTO (the US got the 3000GT)

It did have some looks of the supra, but was more of a competition for the toyota celica.

Awesome car. I would love to have one, but it would be hard to get 3 kids in the back seat. For now I will have to stick with my quad cab Dodge Ram. I have owned 4 Mustangs when I was a single man.

After Timmy's post on considering a new bike I thought it would be a good idea to start a "Show Your Ride" topic rather than hijack Timmy's topic.
So here is mine and me. Not the best shot of the bike. It's a 2000 GT Avalanche, XT drive train with LX braking. No disc's :cry: . Z2 Bombers and Rhino lites. I've outgrown it and would love to upgrade but my next bike is waaay out of budget for me. $3400.00 CDN for the Specialized Epic. :cry: :cry: :cry:

Rice burner = japanese car or bike

Ricer = a lame attempt to modify a japanese car or bike or modding it in very bad taste

"that's too rice" = something said about a non japanese car that was modded in very bad taste.

It doesn't necessarily need to be an asian car. RICE, Race Inspired Comestic Enhancement. A spoiler the size of a 747 wing, for example on a front wheel drive car serves no purpose.

Lugnutz, thanks :D cars are my first passion, which leads to my interest in motorsport, and motorsport photography. Sadly, cars are even more expensive than cameras, and often win the battle for any spare cash!

DarioC, again, thanks! i'm over near Norwich in Norfolk, but travel around a fair bit. The Lancia is about to come off the road for a bit of a tidy up, but will hopefully be back before too long. The M3 is my current daily transport.

I also have a third car, but don't think many not uk members will recognise it,

a 1994 Rover Metro GTi, completely stripped out - weighs approx 800kg ~ 1760lb in old money, and has a 1.8 litre engine from a lotus elise with throttlebodies.

Vanillaroma. Its the only way to roll. I've had one in every car i've owned for the past 3 years, and I will always have a fresh one. That was the day I got the mustang, so I hadnt yet put one in there, but you bet when I do the next shoot of it, you'll see the yellow tree hanging from the mirror :D

BTW where near Cville are you? My buddies mom lives in Fluuvana about 20 minutes outside of Cville on 275 acres. There's so much **** that I wanna shoot next time we go up there. I didnt own a camera last time I was there.

I'm actually about 15mi north in the Ruckersville area. Not too many places to take my vehicles for shoots up here. At least none that I've found. My house and son leave me little time to do any scouting.

Yeah. Next time I go up there with him I'll have to go to some of the places and shoot. Theres an old jail and a mill up there somewhere and about 200 yards down the road from his moms house is an old abandonded house back in the woods we went to last time. The last people had been there in 1993, we learned this by the milk jug on the floor that had an expiration date of 1993. There was also an old outhouse there in the woods too which was pretty interesting.

But yeah your son will definitely put a damper on being able to go scouting for spots. Thank god I dont have any yet haha.

This is my Seat Leon FR TDI (150 BHP), I drive about 90.000 km a year so my car has to be a diesel. And I really like it. I think I will go for the new Leon FR when this car has to be replaced.

This is my Seat Leon FR TDI (150 BHP), I drive about 90.000 km a year so my car has to be a diesel. And I really like it. I think I will go for the new Leon FR when this car has to be replaced.

No offense taken. To each his own. I like the wheels because they are lightweight magnesium and they are different than the typical wheel on a first gen Camaro. I've written two books on updating muscle cars to newer technology and a big proponent on not leaving all muscle cars stock or stuck in the 80's.

There's space for everyone. :)

Thank you for the kind words!
I really don't have a set post processing technique. Every shot is different. The pic was taken w/ a Sigma 10-20 on a 400D body. It was shot in RAW. Basic adjustments were done to the pic (sorry I forgot the exact steps). Exposure & WB was set in ACR 3.6. Levles, curves, sharpening was done in CS2.

Yes it was all from ambient light. I did not use any external flash. All the lighting was from the parking lot.

hello, this is my `59 bug, its had a full restoration, just doesnt look that way, underneath is better than new, also been dropped with a 5 inch narrowed beam so the front plate takes a beating over speed humps, but its mine and i love it, remember rust is not a crime:D

The VW bug hotrods was very popular in the '70s here in Hawaii. I'm still a fan. I had a '68 with a crank sunroof. Keep that '59 alive.

aloha:D , i believe there is are regular vw shows on oahu, my sis lives on maui, i went out for a bit last year, tried to find a dub to drive about then ship back to the uk, but all the bugs were late models and fairly rotten, must be the salt in the air, only found two splits but they were too much $ and needed work, we took a trip over to oahu to check out the north shore and pearl harbour, had a great time, seemed very busy after being on maui for a few weeks, this was parked up near the zoo, these are fetching big money here in the uk at the mo, especially if its a 21 or 23 window model:grin:

then i saw my current bus for sale and had to jump at it, its an 88 brick (i think they are called vanagons in the u.s.) has been `fiddled` with by a tuning company in germany, lowered, vented disks allround , with 4 pot calipers, standard 2.1 engine with turbo charger fitted taking it from 112 bhp to 160 bhp, and is a full westfalia, so has two double beds, wardrobe, lots of cupboards, two ring hob, fridge, double glazing and central heating, will do 120mph and wiped the floor with a mk4 golf gti the other week, which was nice but has recently thrown a bearing so engine out time, which is not nice

Unfortunatly not taken with my Canon as it's quite new (the Canon) and I've not had my van out since I've had it. I just found these pictures on the net so they are not the best. As soon as the weather improves I will be out with the van and the Canon and I can't wait. I'll be back, as they say!

I guess I'm so used to seeing the stickers I don't notice them anymore. VA is all about ticket revenue, so the easier it is for police to see things the easier it is to ticket you if you're not in compliance......that's my guess.

Did you change the axels? I like the 5 lug look. Looks like you changed the headlights too. It looks like it's your daily driver, good job keeping running!

It's sitting on a late IRS pan, so that's why I have the 4 bolt set up. Currently running ghia disk brakes in the front with drums in the rear. The headlights are Rossi lights, getting harded to find now days. Daily driver all the way! Been that way for most of the last 15 years, trailers are for boats :)
