Now that the cold weather is ending and we are able to venture outside once again, what has everyone been taking pictures of inside?

Post your favorites taken from indoors this winter. I'll be honest with you, my camera collected a lot of dust and I don't have any photos to show for it that are worth anyones time.

Basketball. I shot an average of 800 frames per week. You can view the images in the Smugmug link below. :)

It's fun to play around in the winter. Now that wedding season is upon us, I will actually have to work for a while.

I've been playing around with extension tubes and learning a bit more about lighting.

Doing stuff like this.

Yeah, it doesn't help that I only have 2 lenses also, the nifty fifty, and 70-200 f2.8... so I'm not really prepped for indoors.

Before next winter rolls around I think I might pick up something fast and wide for inside.

The 50mm is a superb indoor lens. Don't knock it. It's fast enough for you to get some lovely naturally-lit subjects...

I've been practicing with off camera lighting. Which will come in quite handy for weddings and engagement sessions. I posted a few "experimental" shots in the appropriate section of this forum, but no one seems to like them! (I only got a single comment, which I had to ask for! Oh well! Won't keep me from experimenting and playing with my expensive toys! ;))

I've shot nothing. There's been no good snow events here. Really stunk.

Winter is nicest time to shoot  I shoot probably more in winter then in summer with all those skiing World cups. And it's nicer to shoot anyway. Little cold really isn't all that bad. ;)
Otherwise if I have to stick with inside shooting, then whole bunch of basketball and handball.

I shot a bunch when I was trapped inside my house thanks to a series of Colorado blizzards this winter. A couple of them:

Nice SYS, I personally would have gone with a lower angle on the chess set. It seems a little awkwardfrom up there,, and A deeper DoF on the Violin. but then again, I can't take apicture for the life of me, so don't take offense.

No offense taken. :D

I appreciate your comments. I took some 20 shots of chess with varying degrees of angle, that being just one of them. During summer I go wider; during winter I go macro...
