How do you like this true BW version?

Here's the colour version too. Which one do you like?

Thanks
Martin.

The black and white works the best for me

although the colours on the stones are great

Always impressive Martin. Wonderful composition, and exposure.

I like the mono, but prefer the b/w. The color version doesn't really work for me, because the saturation of the orange in the stones is a bit distracting to me.

Again, outstanding shot.

Excellent picture. Fantastic composition the way it pulls the eye through. I feel like I'm going to go flying off the end.

Of the versions, I think I'd like something between the first and second. The first is great but seems a little too much to me.

This is a wonderfully composed shot. I actually prefer the color shot. The B/W is nice too, but I like the contrast between the colors of the rocks on the jetty and the water and sky.

BW for sure

Very nice composition! Draws the eye along the curve into the picture. I prefer the black&white too, but if you were to decrease the yellow/orange saturation maybe that would take the first spot.

I like the mono, it gives it a supernatural feel ... if you know what I mean

I agree with shelbix. I also like the color one.

What can I say that hasn't been said?!

The B&W does it for me, great shot the only thing that I would add is that it possibly needs a little rotation to the left (anti-clockwise) - or is it my eyes?

I like the colour image. The sky picks up some of the colour of the stones and gives a nice balance.

Excellent image.

I love the composition. I understand the doubts about whether to use color or BW. Did you try to drop saturation of the color version. So keep some color, but work towards BW?

idea: ... in photoshop use the gradient tool to make the bottom in mono while slowly fading into the color sky ... sound good? but try to make the mono a lil more bluer to match the sky

I dont know, thats just a random thought

What an absolutely amazing shot. I like the first and second ones the best, but the colour one is quite nice as well.

I prefer the B&W, but there is something about the colored one that is very intriging.

Thank you for all your great feedback. It's really appreciated, and the ideas too. I think finally I settled that I like the BW the best, there wasn't much between them and it comes down to personel choice as always. I had to remove the colour and mono version for space purposes. I hope you still enjoy the BW though. :)

Cheers
