Hi,
I have just bought the LA-DC58 lens adapter and TC-DC-58N telephoto lens for my G3 (we dont have a UK lensmate dealer before anyone asks why!) ;)
My problem is:
The telephoto lens screws onto the adapter fine, but....
how on earth do you fit the adapter to the camera!? May sound like a silly question but I cant suss it out - do I need to buy something else?
The adapter has a screw thread but the G3 a bayonet, plus the adapter doesn't fit over the lens tube anyway....help!

You need to remove the outer shell that protects the lens. As you look at the camera from the front, there's a button to the lower right of the lens. Press this as you turn the outer lens casing (not the lens itself!). Then you can attach the adapter.

For the G3 you need the LA-DC58B adapter  .

sidebp you didn't buy from Jessops did you? I ordered from them and every time I got the LA-DC58 as their stock control would not accept the B.

As it happens - yes!! :D I went back to the store and they swapped it straight away - lucky really seeing as normally they're out of stock!
Also found a better price when i got home so got them to the proce match - result: £10 better off and a suitable adapter. Now I just have to try the lens (and hope I wont regret ordering a lensmate adapter and different lens :? !)

Be sure that you pay attention to the alignment dots.
I didn't, got the adapter on wrong, would not come off.
Had to send it back to the factory to have it removed.
Hardly ever use the thing now because of that.
