I like number one but you cut off his elbow.
Number 2 is soft...need a higher shutter speed.
Number 3...well..If this picture wasnt in the concert section I wouldnt know It was a concert picture.
Number 4, I like (even if it wasnt intentional)
Number 5, You focused on the guitar head. Kind of works artistically?
Sorry if i sound harsh, just my opinion.
P.s. I might just be full of crap, i'm not exactly a "pro"...lol

Overall they look a bit soft to me - a higher shutter speed will help with that. For someone starting out though you seem to have some talent there to work with. Practice getting sharper shots and on your composition and focus.
And welcome to POTN - I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I agree with john & richard above. If I were going to add anything it would be to try to add some variety to your shots. These are all pretty much torso shots - try to get some full body, more than one band member, full stage, etc.

It also helps to post larger images and is interesting to know who you shot and the venue. Also mentioning the gear used/settings really helps others to assist with constructive critique.

Good start. I take a lot of concert photos and it is typically hard to get a consistent shot. They are moving like crazy and the lighting is horrible. Do what you do and keep taking photos you will get "keeper" that others will love. Remember many times the musician likes many photos that you would not consider prize winners. I got rave reviews on some that I felt were ok. But the band members liked them so that is what counted.

I like # 4... Welcome to the Performing Arts section IzakTaylor... lots of us hang out here and critique mercilessly... That's unless the stuff is better than ours... than most are shy about dealing with it... You'll get the general feel of things here after a while...
Don't hesitate to comment and critique at will... we'll cover for ya if someone is overly defensive about their stuff.
