Hi Guys,

Has anyone else gotten the Canon SDK for writing their own software? I have just recieved it and have been going over the commands available as well as the communications possible between the camera and the Computer.

It looks pretty comprehensive and Ill be doing some coding over the next few weeks to play with it and get used to talking to the camera.

Anyway, just curious what others think and what they are planning to do if they have the sdk even?

Roel,

Good to see someone else is going to be playing with it. I havent had as much time as I thought I was going to so havent really gotten to do more than look through things. I look forward to your comments as you begin using it. I too will be using Visual Basic to program in.

For some reason Canon refuse to supply it in Australia and I want to have some fun with my G2.

I have the same problem as you have : I want the SDK for personal use so I don't know what to put for company...etc.

That claims to permit registration for personal use.

I haven't tried it - I'm into open source so I don't want to be leaglly tainted by having seen the propritey stuff any more
than I can help.

Just so everyone knows, I havent been around for awhile which is why I was unable to answer these posts. As far as I know Canon will honor a request from individuals when they type the word "Self" into the company text box. This just means you represent no one but yourself in the agreement that you sign with them to get the SDK.
