It was a very fun concert. I was surprised. Very cool production. Lost a 1 gb card full of full stage shots . And I will be my own worse critic and say that I am overall not happy with my performance on this one. I think I could have done much better and feel my shots don't really convey how awesome the production was.

The Newsboys are:

Peter Furler - vocals
Duncan Phillips - drums
Jeff Frankenstein - keyboards
Paul Colman - guitar

I really like #1 - awesome whole of stage shot.

I feel your pain re losing 1GB of shots. I had something similar happen over the weekend. I shot a show on Friday night (was away from home and computer) and then on Saturday morning went to a digital imaging shop to transfer the RAW files to DVD as I needed the CF space to shoot a 2 day festival - the jerk in the shop transferred them wrongly and I could only read 75 from 650 shots. Luckily the 75 were of the main band and I got some good ones that have been sold to a magazine.

1 is a cool shot. #2 is a unique shot, not gonna see that every show. ;) I'll agree with you though, all pretty good shots, but they don't really convey alot of energy.

Yeah, number 2 had full lights on stage. I'm really disappointed it is not sharper :( Can't figure it out. My XT is coming close to 20,000 shots. My camera may be wearing out. I need to send it to Canon for maintenance and grab something in between.

The drum set actually is on a platform that raises up that way. It's a cool thing to see live. I've seen the Newsboys twice. The first time they were at a fair and not using that set up. Last summer I saw them at Creation West and I was able to see it for myself.

I do some volunteer work for a concert promoter when he is in Northern UT, and he is promoting the Newsboys in WA state next week.

You have some great shots in your gallery. The Reliant K shots are great.

Thanks for the info... I like the idea of featuring the drummer...I just hope he doesn't slide off the set...

It will be great to see it done...Maybe others will copy the idea...

Good luck if you go to Washington...bring some pics back...:D
