I ordered my first "L" lens Tuesday (just the 70-200 f/4). A normal order (UPS Ground) from B&H usually takes 3 days to get to my house in Scottsdale. To be on the safe side and get the lens before the big St. Paddy's Day parade and Faire this Saturday, on Tuesday I paid extra for the 3-5 day shipping. Wrong! Checking the tracking shows that my new lens went from NY to Philly, and is now sitting in Boston, and is scheduled for delivery on Monday! Should have gone with ground---would have saved money and gotten faster service. Does this ever happen to anyone else?

I like Arizona, but one good thing about living in NJ (no jokes, please) is that I get B&H packages the next day with regular ground.

Yeah, it happens time to time..
But as soon as you hold that mighty lens in your hands for the 1st time..
You will instantly forget all the things that stressed you.. :)
Congrats and party on~!

...just the 70-200 f/4...

There is no "just " a lens in Canon's 'L' line. The 70-200L f/4 is a great lens.

I ordered the tamron 17-50 on monday at noon (ground shipping). It was supposed to be delivered on the 16th (Friday). I just looked at the tracking number and it said out for delivery this morning at 0300 hrs. I told my wife to keep her eye out but more than likely it will come after I get home from work.

I don't see a problem with that. Once you are dead, I'll pick up the lens
