First image does not take

I have an S50 and have found lately that my first picture does not show up, either on the display or on the CF card. After snapping a couple, then the images begin to show up. Any common cause of this? It seems to happen with either card that I use. Thanks...

There is absolutely no reason that should happen. If it isn't the card then it's has to be a fault with the camera.

I suppose you've formatted the card in the camera? It's a known fact that formatting the card in a PC can cause all kind of problems.
