I'm using a Canon Powershot A620 and an AC adapter. (CA-PS500, designed to work with models including the A620.) When ever I use the adapter, the battery light blinks, but it functions fine other that that. The problem is that in remote capture mode I get a "low battery" warning, and it won't allow me to use remote capture. If I have to I suppose I could buy rechargable batteries, but does anyone know of another solution to this problem? Thanks,

if you dont have rechargeable AAs for your A620, go get some now...
have you tried normal AAs in the camera with the power cord in? would that hurt?

I got some rechargeables, which works fine. Whenever the power cord is in, it says the batteries are low, even if the batteries are not.

I just received my CA-PS500 which I bought from Ebay. I am also dealing with the same problem. When I plug it in, I get a low battery flashing on my camera. Just like Smeagol, I wanted to use it with Remote Capture but the software keeps shutting down because it says the camera has low battery's.
Can anyone help solve this problem? Smeagol...Did you get around this yet?
Thanks

Any chance you have low AC line voltage? If so, the resultant P/S output voltage under load might be too low, even though it appears to be "working fine".
There's an alternative (and superior, IMO) remote shooting application available from www.breezesys.com -- you might test your PS+cam with the trial version of PSRemote to see whether it still shows "low battery".
