My wife and I are still trying to learn all of this photography stuff. Looked through a few books, but still hasn't seemed to help. While reading through the books, I find myself, or my mind for that matter, wondering off onto other topics and the learning doesn't sink in. (never was a fan on reading, I learn better by seeing or even better doing)
Has anyone found photography videos, that will go over some basics like: shutter speed, f-stops, DOF, composition?

It sounds as if you should look for a local course, where you will learn by doing and will be given assignments. You say you are not the Reading type but it may also be how the books are written.. Have you looked at Understanding Exposureby Bryan Peterson? It is well written and easy to get through. Don't feel you need to rush to learn it all right away.
Hang in there and enjoy the journey.

I learn better by seeing or even better doing) Make mistakes, then learn why as you go, would be one way. Another would be to look in the "Sticky"s for something that interests you & try it out. That's why we put them there? ;)
Maybe a bit advanced for you now, but take a look at this thread: Will Crockett DVD - digital ON CAMERA FLASH (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=290737)

I got a DVD from Wolf Camera that really helped, they sell a couple of different ones on there. I got one specific for my XT when I started. Really helped, cuz like you, I dont enjoy reading and certainly dont learn as easily as if I just watch it done and then go out and do it....
