Got him in flight good. Whites against a dark bg (assuming in the sun) like this in evaluative metering you would go to -1/3 or -2/3 on exposure compensation.

Not bad, nice action, but I'd try and brighten it up. Probably need to select out the bird though so it doesn't get burnt in.

I had the camera set on the action auto icon, for in=flight shots. I thought if you were on the automatic settings, the camera did all the adjusting. I'm not shooting manual. I'm probably wrong about that and will need to try to do some aperture adjustments depending on the light. :(

Yea you need to learn with your camera in M, Av or Tv
