Nice going! Great variety. I especially like the "Morning in the Park" gallery.

I am with G2 Jim

* I loved the "Fiesta" night light... crisp, clean, and colorful.. really a treat to my eyes.

* I love mood stuff. While your morning in the park shots might still have room for stronger compositional treatment you caught the mood, the mist, and most of all the sun's rays cutting through to the foreground. Wonderful. Few other photographers have caught this element in their posts. We tend to see the early an late sun -- but not with your level of humidity and beauty (to my eyes at least). Most appreciated.

The industrial scenes, Texas houses, and dogs did not apeal so much.

Why not?

INDUSTRIAL SCENES: Well lots of posting photographers try to shoot B&W if they see a pattern. But the pattern has to be a treat to the eyes.

TEXAS SCENES: The Texas scenes are fine and patriotic. But in that sense they are more record shots. They have their place, and the color and exposure is excellent.

DOG SCENES: Well they may be fine..but the dogs do not look too happy to me. Are they at the pound?

Answer: I agree to some extent. The most interesting shots tend to be centered around just two very contrasting colors: black and white. However, I think the shades of grey do deserve their attention as well. I might have overdone it though (need more contrast I guess).

Thanks. Actually they are not really meant to be patriotic. If you look at the person walking in front of the huge "United we stand" post, you will see that he is homeless. I thought this shot was rather ironic.

Answer:
I agree. They do not look too happy at all. I wanted to capture that look on their face. Shots were taken at a pet store. The big danes were actually at their home and I was really happy about the heavy bars that separated them from my limbs.

Well I am glad that you spoke up!

It is hard to critique a site with a multiple sets when (as is usually the case) the photographer provides no context to the individual sets.

So believe me, a variety of "contexts" ran through my mind when I reached the US flags. But I did not want to offend. On close, the shack .. the parquee on the movie theatre... were beauiful -- but left a strong wiff of better times past ... and hopefully to come.
