Im leaving in 30 mins to go to NC State's NIT game in the old Reynolds coliseum. I have the 5D and am torn which lens to bring...I will be sitting upstairs probably. The gym is small by todays standards though..seats 12.5k people.

24-105 or 70-200??

If you are going to be taking pictures of the game, go with the 70-200, but if you want to do some pictures of the people you are going with i would go with the 24-105. But make sure that you are allowed to bring in the lenses, many arenas have a "6" Rule" meaning that the lens can not be over 6", for safety and to protect the people with press passes' rights to images
