Just so happens that's what I did this afternoon -- took off work to enjoy the last of our mini heat wave down here. Back to highs in the mid 50's low 60's starting Saturday :-( We'll see some 25 degree days once or twice before the end of February for sure.

wouldn't be a clever move its a rock garden in there and with that current you can't see into the water clearly so definitely not for jumping but it is great holding water with feeding stations handy. Home to some very nice cuts.

Holding water: a place where fish go for protection against predators and relief from the constant pressure of the currents. the currents will actually assist in holding them effortlessly in place

Feeding station; a place where the current concentrates various food items so that they don't have to chase it down. They let the river do the work for them so they don't burn up more energy than they are able to take in.

Hope this helps clear up any confusion I created.

Okay I knew holding water but not Feeding station. In other words, it's a great place to fish, right?

Well for the fly fisher it's a challenging spot. The currents will hinder your presentation by giving your fly unwanted motion. The majority of food comes to a fish dead drift, zero motion so that's how we try to present it to a feeding fish but with the swirling current this becomes very difficult especially if a long cast is required to reach the station. Accurately cast flies to the fish's feeding window will give you a short drag-free float and the greatest possibility of success. As far as good fishing it does have possibilities.:lol:

Awwww Deb, what cuties. All three of them. LOL I have a siamese that stays with my daughter while I am out on the road working. Always wanted a himilayan though. Friend has two yorkies. One wants to always "eat my std. poodles lunch" though when they get together. She is mighty mouse in a small package. Too funny!

I wanna do it!!! Saw a small stream with a fly fisheman out. Laughed at him for fishing in such a small stream. Was told, "that is the best. Fly guys know how to do it best." I have another friend who ties. May get her to give me some of her's, and take them on the next trip! I can fish with those, just can't put something live on a hook to die. Will have to have someone to take off the hook anything caught though. LOL I am such a wuss for anything living other than snakes and sharks! Useless, if you ask me!
