What kind of monitor do you have Deb?

Monty Hi I have a acer 19" model AL1916W I went online in search for a answer ..It said it could be a faulty IFB , WTF ..is that ..GEEZ criptic code crap .Any ideas? its not very old ..maybe 2 yrs ,or less .

Bummer - was kind of hoping it was a CRT and all you needed was to degauss.

I suppose you have tried the obvious and unplugged all your monitor cables and then plugging them back and making sure the connections are tight...

Does that monitor have a auto configuration button ??

Sorry Deb -- can't think of anything else... Can you borrow a monitor cable from somebody to see if that is the problem?

Deguassing is only for CRT monitors (and old ones at that as most new ones auto de-guauss when you turn them on) -- has to due with magnetic fields and such stuff I'm sure you don't care about.

Just got back from work...Sorry to hear about your monitor Deb. Does you screen have a greenish hue to it? If it does it's probably your monitor cable. Try Monty's suggestion and swap out the cable. I had a Dell monitor that used to do the same thing but the cable was hard-wired to the monitor and I had no recourse. Stupid question but is the monitor still under warranty??

We have mobile computer Geeks( thats what they call themselves) that charge 15 an hour to check out your computer.maybe give that a go?

It would have to be DDC compliant (LOL I know another acronym!!) anyway most monitors require this type of cable now days so it's a common cable -- 15 pin VGA cable that is DDC compliant is what you would look for.

It is a Euphorbia bloom. They are a succulant plant. I took this at Butterfly World in Florida and just did a lot of Google searching to find out what it is.
