i've just bought a canon psa560 to replace my psa70. i seem to have a power problem - I tried two sets of fully charged NI-MH 2500 (one set new and one about 2 moths old) plusa pair of new alkalines and in every case while the LCD was on for more than 1 minute the screen went black and it said "change batteries'. Thsi also happend after taking lesss than a dozen shots. If anyone can advise I'd be really grateful. Thanks. Tambo.

I wonder if they suffer the same problems as the a530/540 that were recalled? Maybe you should get it replaced.

I agree with Mishnogram. No camera should eat through Ni-MH rechargables that fast. I have a A550 and I use Ni-MH radioshack rechargables and they seem to last forever. I have charged them once this week. Call Canon and let them know and see what they have to say. I hear Canon has real good customer service.
