My wife has a SD 550 and we can't figure out how to put the date stamp on photos. Can anyone help with this?

If you print the images, just write the date on the back so you don't mar your photos. If you leave them in digital form, the date is embedded in the digital file.

Agreed, do not date stamp your photos! The exif data contains this information and just incase you get that 'perfect photo' it won't be ruined by a big nasty date.

Date stamping visible on the photo is only possible in Postcard mode. The date's stored in the EXIF data for each photo though. You could create (or look for) an action to use in PhotoShop to extract that and stamp it on your photo if you desperately need it.

Yeah, its always better to just right - click your photo, go to properties, and then hit the summary tab. That will tell you everything you need to know. It's a lot better than ruining a photo with ugly numbers.
